Jennifer Angel is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Develop Nova Scotia. Previously known as Waterfront Development, Develop Nova Scotia is a Crown corporation that is responsible for implementing and administering strategic infrastructure and property projects.

Education

In 1999, Jennifer Angel received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In 2002, she earned her Master’s of Business Administration in Marketing from Saint Mary’s University. In addition, Angel completed a Foundation Year Program at the University of King’s College from 1993 to 1994, as well as a Directors Education Program from the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management.

Career

As President and CEO of Develop Nova Scotia, Jennifer Angel has expertise in real estate, infrastructure, program development, planning and design. Founded in 1976, the organization was originally intended to revitalize the post-industrial waterfront land in Halifax and Dartmouth. In July 2018, when Angel became its head, the organization’s name was changed to Develop Nova Scotia to reflect its expanded mandate encompassing strategic economic infrastructure and property projects across the province. Working with partners and communities to make Nova Scotia an incredible place to live, work, invest and visit, Angel is renowned for her ability to develop vibrant but accessible places.
