Greg Hicks (born 1973) is the current president and CEO of the Canadian Tire Corporation. He also serves as Chair of the Retail Council of Canada and is a trustee of CT Real Estate Trust.
Hicks was born in 1973. From 1990-1995, he attended the University of Western Ontario until graduating with a Bachelor of Arts. He also received an Honours Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey Business School afterwards.
Hicks worked as Chief Operating Officer for business operations at TSC Stores prior to his career at Canadian Tire. He also advised other multinational retailers on marketing strategy like Mutual Hardware, Retail Council of Canada, OCTO Buying Group and Retail Audible. In July of 2013, Hicks became the Senior Vice President of Automotive Business. Later that year he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Marketing, and in 2017 was appointed president of Canadian Tire Corp. He is now CEO and Present as of 2020. Hicks is widely regarded as a determined leader with a strategic marketing mindset and the ability to build teams focused on results. He has also built an Owned Brands portfolio delivering $4 billion in sales in 2019.
