Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Daniel Earle’s connection to Campfire Circle began at an early age. During summers, he spent time at Camp Oochigeas, one of Campfire Circle’s predecessor organizations, where he enjoyed classic camp activities like swimming, climbing, and hiking. These early experiences had a lasting impact on him, helping to shape his outlook on life and inspiring his future commitment to help the camp in any way he could. As a young man, Daniel cultivated a strong interest in science and engineering, winning a scholarship to attend the prestigious Lassonde Mineral Engineering Program at the University of Toronto. There, he graduated with distinction and earned awards, including the Reginald J. Redrupp Award.
Daniel Earle began his career in the mining industry as an entrepreneur, founding a junior exploration company and securing financing to support the evaluation, acquisition, and exploration of various mineral deposits in China, which was opening its sector to foreign investment at the time. Mr. Earle later became the President of a West African-focused junior developing exploration program that led to a high grade gold discovery, as well as gold production that continues to this day.
