Bruce Murray, a chartered financial analyst, is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of The Murray Wealth Group. The Toronto-based investment management firm offers discretionary investment management services to institutions and high-net-worth individuals and families.

Education

Bruce Murray received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Waterloo in 1974, leading him to become a chartered financial analyst in 1979.

Career

Bruce Murray’s career began in May of 1974 in the Canadian Department of Transportation, where he was an Administrative Trainee for over two years. In July 1976, he joined Crown Life Insurance Company as a manager of Canadian Equities, a position he held for more than eight years. From March 1985 to August 1990, he served as Vice President and Special Situations Analyst for Nesbitt Thomson. In the same year, Murray became the Executive Vice President and Managing Director of McLean Budden, where he was a Senior Member on several equity portfolios, including Canadian, U.S. and global growth teams. For over twenty-one years, Murray remained the Executive Vice President and Managing Director of McLean Budden. Since 2015, Murray has been the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of his own firm, Murray Wealth Group, based in Toronto, Ontario.
