Early life

Born and raised in Iran, at the age of 18, Saeed Torbati made the life-altering decision to move to Canada in search of new opportunities. Shortly after arriving in the Great White North, he enrolled at Algonquin College in Ottawa, where he studied Electromechanical Engineering with a focus on Robotics. In 2012, he graduated from that institution with honours. In 2019, he completed an accredited programl in Entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School, and in 2021, he earned a certificate in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Helsinki.

Career

Upon entering the working world, Saeed Torbati began working in the green energy sector as a sales representative for Sunwave, helping everyday people improve their households with sustainable technology. He left Sunwave after a little over a year and half in order to become the Senior Managing Partner at Canadian Capital Financing Group, a company offering long-term investments in the real estate, business development, consumer lending, green technology, and energy retail sectors. A critical executive at this firm, he has continued to hold this position even while taking on new roles, as well as founding and managing new businesses.

There are some overlapping themes in the sort of companies Torbati helps to create, such as renewable energy and smart home solutions. One of his best-known ventures is Ontario Green Savings, a company that specializes in upgrading the homes of lower-to-middle income households with efficient, environmentally-friendly technology. In 2025, he became a Senior Business Consultant to BOXT, which is a company based in Leeds, Great Britain that installs boilers, solar panels, air conditioning systems, heat pumps, home storage batteries, and EV chargers.

Torbati is also a big proponent of mentoring the businesspeople of the future, and he takes great pride in providing valuable guidance, advice, and real-world training to many of bright young minds who work for his various companies.

Outside of his work, Saeed Torbati stays active by playing sports, with his favorite being boxing. He trains every day to stay in shape for the ring and to clear his mind.Helping others is also very important to him. During the holidays, he donates food to homeless shelters and gives out gift bags to kids at CHEO hospital.
