As an alternative asset management company, Anson Funds employs various strategies across all of its funds, including the Arch Anson Absolute Return Real Estate Fund (launched in 2018), which is a global long-short real estate fund, and the Anson North Star Tactical Equity Fund (launched in 2020), which is a long-biased relative strength fund.

The Arch Anson Tactical Real Estate Fund (ARCH) launched in 2018 and is managed by Michael Missaghie and Kelvin Li. The fund's primary objective is to achieve positive absolute returns on an annual basis by investing in global real estate securities.

The Anson North Star Tactical Equity Fund (ANSF) was launched in January 2020 and is managed by Salman Malik and Robert Mills. ANSF follows a process-based approach led by top-down macro-economic and market breadth analysis.

Apart from his role as the Co-founder and Chief Investment Officer of Anson Funds, Moez Kassam is an accomplished venture capitalist, philanthropist, and community leader. Together with his wife Marissa, Kassam established the Moez and Marissa Kassam Foundation to support various non-profit organizations in their hometown of Toronto and throughout Canada.

From 2018 to 2020, Anson Funds received a Top 10 Hedge Fund ranking by the Barclay Managed Fund. The company has also been featured in many well-known financial publications, including Barron’s and Bloomberg magazines. In 2024, Anson Funds was named Overall Multi-Strategy Fund of the Year at the HedgeWeek Americas Awards.

Moez Kassam, Chief Investment Officer
Moez advises all funds under management and is responsible for investment strategy, trading, and overall investment performance. In July 2007, Moez co-launched Saunders Capital Master Fund LP, which was the predecessor to Anson Investments Master Fund LP.

Amin advises all funds under management and is responsible for investment strategy, trading, and overall investment performance and risk management.

Bruce Winson, Chairman
Bruce advises all alternative funds under management and is responsible for risk management and macroeconomic analysis.

Taheer has been with Anson since 2016, primarily focused on North American small-cap equities, special situations and thematic investing.

Salman Malik, Portfolio Manager
Salman Malik is responsible for all aspects of the investment process for the Anson North Star Tactical Equity Fund.

Jarrett Wegener, Portfolio Manager
Jarrett is responsible for the Risk Arbitrage and SPAC portfolios in the AIMF and AEMF funds.

Tony Moore, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer
Tony joined Anson Funds in 2013 from Alpha Financial Technologies and Deloitte. He also serves as Chief Marketing Officer. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BBA in Finance and Accounting and a Master of Accountancy.

Laura Salvatori, Chief Legal Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Chief People Officer
Laura joined Anson Funds in 2019 from Match Marketing and Goldman Sachs. She holds a JD from Osgoode and a BBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business.

Sagar Gupta, Portfolio Manager
Sagar joined Anson in 2023 from Legion Partners, where he was the Senior Analyst/Head of TMT. Sagar leads Anson’s activism strategy.
