As Vice President And Cofounder of Alimentation Couche Tard Inc., Jacques D’Amours is worth $2.5 billion and ranked No. 1517 on Forbes Billionaire List. In 1980, D’Amours joined the company as a co-founder and worked with his closest collaborators and all staff members to build Alimentation Couche-Tard into the business it is today. He served in a variety of roles during his 34-year career, including Manager of Technical Services, Vice‑President of Sales and Vice-President of Administration and Operations. In 2014, D’Amours retired as Vice President of administration, but remains on the company’s board and is its second-largest shareholder. In December of 2017, Couche-Tard had ballooned by snatching up competitors, including Minnesota-based Holiday Stationstores for $1.6 billion. The company now boasts annual sales of $59 billion and more than 14,000 owned or franchised stores worldwide.
