Marcello Piccinato, P.Eng, is a professional civil engineer and master electrician, as well as the Founder, CEO, and President of 3e Electrical Construction Inc., a boutique electrical contracting company based in Toronto, Ontario. Known for blending engineering expertise with high-level project management, Piccinato delivers electrical solutions in large-scale projects in the commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. He has owned and operated 3e Electrical Construction Inc. since 2015.

Early life

Marcello Piccinato attended Holy Cross Secondary School in Kingston, Ontario, where his interest in engineering and construction was piqued at a young age. After earning his high school diploma, he then advanced to nearby St. Lawrence College, where he studied Civil Engineering Technology and concluded his studies with distinction as Class President of the graduating class of 2005. While at St. Lawrence College, he was also an active member of that institution’s Bridge Building Society. Piccinato then further built on his formal education by enrolling at Queen’s University, also located in Kingston, where he completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering – Infrastructure in 2008.

Career

Upon entering the working world, Marcello Piccinato took a role at MMM Group Ltd., a company that largely tackles government projects, as a Construction Inspector. He later accepted a position at Broccolini, a private commercial and residential construction firm, as a Project Coordinator. Some time after this, Piccinato served as Project Director at Livello Projects, an organization that specializes in luxury home craftsmanship and offers renovation and new home construction services.

In February 2015, he embraced his innate entrepreneurial spirit and founded 3e Electrical Construction Inc., where he continues to lead operations as President, CEO, and Owner to this day. Under his guidance and direction, 3e has developed a widely acknowledged expertise in many critical aspects of architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC). The company specializes in commercial developments, high-rise projects, industrial power systems, and large residential builds.

Recently, Piccinato has expanded 3e’s services to include Level 3 electrical vehicle (EV) charger installations for businesses, providing DC fast-charging solutions that can power electric vehicles up to 80% in just 30 minutes. This initiative positions 3e at the forefront of energy infrastructure for the growing EV market in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada’s largest metropolitan center.
