Linda Hasenfratz is an extremely talented and successful businesswoman, being the President, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Linamar Corporation, a publicly-traded Canadian manufacturing company that manufactures and supplies products to automotive and industrial markets worldwide.

Early life

Born in June 1966, in Ontario Canada, Hasenfratz gained great analytical and problem-solving skills which ensured her a successful career path in the future. In 1990, Linda Hasenfratz joined her father’s company Linamar Corporation, a publicly-traded Canadian manufacturing company that manufactures and supplies products to automotive and industrial markets worldwide and is Canada’s second-largest automobile parts manufacturer.

Education

Hasenfratz pursued a Bachelor’s Degree of Science from the University of Western Ontario. She furthered her education, completing her Executive Master’s of Business Administration from the same top-ranked institution she received her undergraduate degree from.

Career

On August 12, 2002, Hasenfratz became the Chief Executive Officer of Linamar Corporation. The revenue of Linamar Corporation started to greatly increase and the digits began doubling from $800 million to $3.2 billion. The reason for this growth was the multiple new strategies Linda Hasenfratz implemented during her role as CEO, such as setting up goals with deadlines, better communication through all departments, and forming a great vision for the company.

Achievement

Linda Hasenfratz has built around 58 Linamar plants in a total of 13 countries across Asia, Europe, and North America. Hasenfratz has achieved numerous goals in her life, one, becoming a member of the Canadian Business Hall of Fame. Hasenfratz is the first-ever woman to be named Canada’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year. Nonetheless, in 2018, Linda Hasenfratz was named as the Outstanding CEO of the Year and in May of 2019, she accomplished her dream of becoming the 23rd Chancellor of the University of Western Ontario. Apart from her career life, Linda Hasenfratz is a mother to four beautiful children and is married to Ed Newton.
