
Kjirstin Breure is the Chair of the Board, President, and CEO of HydroGraph Clean Power Inc., a nanotechnology company in Canada developing ultra-pure pristine graphene and advanced carbon nanomaterials. With a strong foundation in materials science, she has been able to apply breakthrough research to commercial applications and lead HydroGraph in the pursuit of making graphene a practical, scalable technology solution in energy, electronics, and sustainable manufacturing.
Kjirstin Breure earned a BSc in Political Science and an MS in Materials Science and Engineering at Arizona State University.
After completing graduate school, Kjirstin worked in the Canadian startup ecosystem, focusing on early-stage ventures that spanned machine learning, blockchain, and applied data analytics. These roles provided her with experience scaling technology-oriented businesses, handling early-stage product-market fit, and leading technical teams.
In 2020, she joined HydroGraph Clean Power Inc. as its first employee and Chief Operating Officer. She set the company’s strategic direction, brand identity, and research roadmap. Over time, she grew her leadership skills and now serves as the Board Chair, President, and CEO, managing a team of scientists, engineers, and business strategists working toward graphene commercialization.
