Early life

Born in London to Sri Lankan parents who are both physicians, Arnold Mahesan grew up in the world of medicine. His father, an OB-GYN, and his mother, a fellow doctor, sparked his early curiosity in women’s health.

As a teenager, he moved to Toronto, Ontario, where he attended Upper Canada College, a prestigious private high school. After graduating, he enrolled at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, for his undergraduate studies. After completing his undergraduate degree, Mahesan returned to Canada to attend the University of Toronto’s medical school. He pursued his residency in Los Angeles at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, followed by a fellowship at the Jones Institute in Norfolk, Virginia—the birthplace of IVF—where he trained with several pioneers in reproductive medicine.

Career

Upon becoming a practicing medical doctor, Dr. Arnold Mahesan built a career around providing highly personalized fertility care, finding the method superior to more rigid and protocol-driven treatments.

After finishing his training at the Jones Institute, Dr. Mahesan practiced at several elite fertility centers, including CCRM Toronto and TRIO Fertility (RMA/IVI), where he handled some of the most complex cases in Canada.

In 2024, he launched Dr. Arnold Fertility in Beverly Hills, a concierge-style clinic focused on achieving the highest levels of fertility care. Dr. Arnold Fertility has become trusted amongst LA-area celebrities seeking specialized treatments offered privately, including IVF, egg freezing, donor egg IVF, and surrogacy. Dr. Mahesan is recognized for his expertise in supporting surrogacy and egg donation journeys, as well as finding success in fertility cases with his uniquely personalized approach.

Dr. Arnold Mahesan developed the idea for Ana Health alongside his wife, Roxy Earle, in hopes of creating an app to help couples conceive at home using data-backed protocols, hormone tracking, and personalized advice. Ana Health is designed for ordinary people who want to grow their families without jumping straight into the sometimes overwhelming process of IVF.
