Early life

Birdsall grew up living with his family in Vancouver. He worked part-time jobs and played sports while attending school. In 2017, he graduated from Douglas College with a Sports Sciences diploma focusing on Physical Therapy.

Career

William Gareth Birdsall is the Owner and Principal of Platinum Auto Spa Ltd., one of Vancouver’s top luxury auto detailing companies. Since opening his business in May 2022, he has offered clients a mobile luxury detailing service specializing in paint correction, polishing, waxing, and ceramic coatings. He oversees the entire business, including quoting, scheduling, client relations, business development, and subcontractor coordination. With a mind for strategy, he plans and executes marketing campaigns, manages supply inventories and oversees service to clients, from general maintenance detailing to special requests.

Birdsall worked several positions before starting Platinum Auto Spa to gain valuable customer service and business development experience. In early 2022, he was Lead Doorman and Concierge at The Hart, a gastro-bar near Vancouver’s Gastown neighbourhood. He was responsible for executing business initiatives to transform foot traffic into sales while maintaining a flawless guest experience in a changing environment.

Gareth was also an appliance installation technician for CJ Installation from 2017 to 2021. His responsibilities in this role included overseeing the logistics of appliance delivery and installation, establishing relationships with developers, and pursuing new business opportunities. Before that, he was involved in landscaping and golf course management, working for Showcase Landscaping and Pagoda Ridge Golf Course, where he was exposed to project management, quality control, and team leadership.

Over his varied career, Gareth has developed the skills required to lead operations, develop client relationships, and accelerate business success. His dedication to quality service and continuous improvement are at the heart of Platinum Auto Spa’s success.

Outside of his work in the auto detailing industry, Birdsall is also a contracted Business Development Representative at Briq, an AI software development firm that uses digital workers to help companies be more efficient and profitable.
