Growing up surrounded by the highs and lows of urban planning, he developed an interest in finding new solutions to community needs that allow for sustainable development. Despite this, his teens and early twenties were focused on a professional hockey career. After studying biomechanics at University he went on to working with Olympic athletes during 3 Olympic Games.
He was the Founder and CEO of Ray Human Performance, an institute that worked with athletes and conducted research on human performance, and the Synergy Insititute, a corporation focusing on health and performance. At Synergy, Nikolai created models for enhancing human performance, which helped him understand how to optimize the end results for human potential.
Starting in his mid to late twenties, Nikolai Ray went on to develop an impressive career combining real estate development, community impact and sustainable growth. After his athletic career, both as an athlete and as a coach, Nikolai worked for a number of sectors in real estate. He began his career working on many residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects and developed a keen sense of how development could affect the social fabric of communities.
Nikolai co-founded Ray Harvey & Associates, which became one of Quebec’s leading multifamily real estate investment advisory firms. In this role, he honed his knowledge of multifamily real estate while offering strategic advisory services to clients throughout the region.
With his passion for real estate and multifamily development, Nikolai continued to grow in his career, which is what led him to founding MREX College, an educational platform specializing in multifamily real estate investments. Through MREX College, Nikolai provided valuable resources for aspiring real estate professionals and their education in the multifamily sector. His platform envisions empowering investors with the tools and insights they need to successfully navigate the complexities of multifamily real estate and have a lasting impact on the industry.

Fierbrooke has earned a reputation for ethical development practices, innovative designs, and long-term investment strategies focused on financial and community well-being under his leadership.
At Fierbrooke and MREX College, Nikolai leads initiatives on integrating sustainability and social impact in real estate development. He collaborates with local governments, organizations, and residents to ensure that the spaces he creates are not only environmentally responsible but also contribute to the communities they serve.
