From 1997-2000, Julien received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke, Quebec.

Career

As Chief Executive Officer of Randstad Canada, Julien is responsible for the strategic oversight of all Canadian business operations. Since 2001, Julien has spent his entire professional career at Randstad Canada. Starting as a Regional Business Development Manager, three years later, Julien was promoted to Area Vice President. From 2008-2010, Julien became the Executive Vice-President for the Quebec Region, Staffing. Joining the Executive Team of Randstad Canada from 2010-2013, Julien became President, General Staffing, and In-house Services Division. Since 2015, Marc-Etienne Julien has been the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of global talent for Randstad. With over 800 employees across the country, Julien oversees the company’s strategy and operations, reporting directly to the company’s North American CEO.

Achievement

In 2014, Julien founded the Ride for Myriam, a charitable bike ride created to honour a Randstad employee’s fight against cancer. Since the creation of the event, more than $250,000 has been donated to benefit the Princess Margaret Foundation and the American Cancer Society. In June of 2018, Julien was recognized as the 3rd best CEO in Canada by the Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Awards. That same year, Julien made the Staffing 100 List, named in the Staffing Industry Analysts’ (SIA) seventh annual list of North American staffing leaders.
