Lino Saputo Jr is the son of Italian-Canadian billionaire businessman Emanuele Saputo. Lino Saputo Jr., marked a transition to third-generation family management as he is now Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Saputo Inc., and has been with the family business since the age of 13. In 1988, Saputo Jr joined Saputo Inc. as an Administrative Assistant. Over the next few years, he started rising through the ranks, managing a plant in Ontario and holding various administrative and marketing positions. In 1993, he became Vice President, Operations, and in 1998, Executive Vice President, Operations. From July 2001 to January 2004, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company’s Dairy Products Division (USA). Since March 2004, he has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Company, and in January 2022, he added the role of President to his responsibilities. Also, he has served as Chair of the Board since August 2017. Saputo Inc. is one of the biggest dairy processors in the world, selling cheese, milk, and other dairy products in more than 60 countries. It has in excess of 17,000 employees, 65 plants , and dozens of brands, generating approximately $14 billion in annual revenue.
